I know people post stuff like this all the time, but I’m hoping you ladies can help me out. I am pretty fair and have extremely oily skin (it doesn’t help that I live in Florida) I’m trying to find some new foundation and powder to test out before my wedding. Our wedding is going to be outdoors in April aka hot and humid in Florida. Please help! I currently use Revlon foundation and CG powder. Any of you out there have suggestions for me? I would love to hear them.

I’m in the same boat LR. I’m going to give my mom, the photographer and my maid of honour some blotting tissues and give them free reign to use them on me as needed. I’m really worried that my nervousness right before walking down the aisle is going to cause overboard oilyness!
I too would love to hear any tips and tricks from the bees on this one.

- Wedding: June 2010 - Ceremony - First United Methodist Church; Reception - My parents' house!
try make up for ever mat velvet, and then a combo of mufe hd powder and guerlain meteorites perles. great stuff. also a good primer works wonders.

I have an oily T-zone and ended up getting Make-up Forever-HD from Sephora (it’s also the best for photos). Using a primer and a transparent finishing powder helps. If you stop by a store like that, they can help direct you.
I hardly ever wear make-up (like <1 a month) so my bottle has lasted me forever but I feel t was worth it because it’s the only foundation I’ve ever liked (not too heavy on the skin either). You don’t have to get the matching primer or powder btw. I ended up getting a drugstore primer, but did get the MUFE powder only because they had a “travel size” at the register which was more than enough since you don’t use much.

I’ve had a lot of luck with Bobbi Brown’s Natural Long Lasting Foundation. Finish it with powder and keep powdering and blotting the oil away. A primer definitely helps too! If you can afford airbrush makeup, that might work well. Good luck!

I’m a big fan of MAC Studio Fix. In humidity, I would be really careful how much heavy foundation you use.

Thanks for all the suggestions I will have to make a trip over to Sephora soon to check out this Make Up Forever!

I have oily skin too and I bought the Revlon PhotoFinish and LOVE it. It works for me without primer but last much longer with primer!

I use Bare Escentuals Matte foundation (the matte version is new) and I have been super happy with it as an everyday makeup. What I like best is that there is no lotion in it and you use your everyday moisturizer to set it.
But for the wedding… since I live in a dry place and my wedding will be in a humid place my skin will freak out. I am looking at doing the airbrush thing for the wedding. From what I hear it is best with humid/ oily skin. I would seriously give it a try. Not to mention when I priced makeup artists with traditional and airbrush makeup the price was about the same.

Hello, date twin! I LOVE Clinique. I use their products for my Sahara desert skin, but I’m sure they’d have a fit for oily skin!
