This is somewhat last minute. I have my wedding hair/makeup consultation on Saturday and they asked about what brand of foundation I use. I don’t wear makeup. I haven’t since the day I graduated high school and started dating my future mister.
I’m very open to going into the mall and buying foundation there. I can go any day this week, but who do I buy from.
My skin does breakout from time to time from stress so it would be great if it wasn’t too heavy or bad for that. I know nothing about makeup. (Sad I know)
Thank you all for the recommendations.

Hi AquaBride! I don’t quite understand…do they *want* you to start using foundation? Otherwise, they were probably just wondering to get a sense of what kind of brands you are used to. I’m not sure you need to go buy one. In terms of basic available-anywhere brands, I’ve heard that Almay is relatively gentle on skin. I don’t use much foundation, my favorite was Prescriptives but they’re not selling it anymore.

My guess is that they’re trying to get a sense of what make-up you already use. I wouldn’t feel any pressure to run out & buy your own. And, if in doubt, just ask.

Make Up Forever HD Foundation. SERIOUSLY. BEST. EVER. Just try it and I guarantee you’ll be impressed.

Yes, I agree–Make Up Forever HD Foundation is awesome! I used it for my wedding. Great coverage, photographs well without looking too cakey or fake. I don’t really wear it as an everyday foundation, but it is my go-to for going out.

This is the email I received from the salon today “The make up artist did want me to ask if you have your own foundation. If not please let us know what brand you prefer and possible color you may need.”
So I’m not sure. I’ve been thinking about buying a few basic pieces to have and wear for special events so I don’t think it would be bad to have either way.

Mac. It looks great, covers wonderfully, and feels like nothing on your face.
