    I love our bottom freezer. We had a side by side before this one. With the side by side I couldn’t fit anything wide in the freezer. It was too narrow. I admit it can be a pain at times with the bottom freezer, but since I don’t use the freezer nearly as much as the fridge, I love having the fridge on top at eye level. It’s great for us.

    I hate my stacked one. The freezer is so stinkin tiny, and since it is just me in my house. I freeze lots of things so they don’t go bad. I love my parents side by side!

    @bells: @Stassney:

    That’s the one we’re gearing to get for our new house! We love to cook and believe the kitchen is the heart of the home. So a bulk of renovaton costs is being spent on the kitchen. It will be designed around our new fridge and stove!

    I LOVE French Door and HATE the side by side ones. I want bottom freezer with a fridge drawer on top.

    We can actually leave the water & ice but most newer models automatically come with unfortunately.

    We freeze A LOT as well and I know side by sides are the worst for freezer space. Regardless we plan to buy a seperate upright freezer for the basement.

    We have an upright stacked freezer-on-top fridge.  It works for us because it gives us plenty of fridge space.  We have a standalone upright freezer in the basement so that’s probably why I don’t notice how small the small freezer above the fridge actually is.

    It all depends on what your needs are. In my old house I had the KA side by side with ice and water and in my current house we have the LG French door ice and water with bottom freezer. The side by side is decent size for fridge but is better for the freezer. While the french door is alot better for the fridge as you can put platters, cakes, pizza etc but not a huge fan of the bottom freezer as it isnt as roomy and you forget what is underneath. We have another freezer downstairs so i went for the advantage of having more room in our fridge! Also keep in mind about the two bottom drawers for freezer they are better for organization but lack the depth as they are two individual drawers and if you need to freeze a turkey or ice cream etc you wont have the room. The double doors look neat but I still prefer one full pullout as you arent as limited on what can go in there. Also, remember to avoid wire racks as they leak.  Solid racks are the best and look for racks that can be pulled out to be washed.  good luck!!

    @PinkMagnolia:

    Different models have different freezer space. Some have more fridge space while others have more freezer space. Some have REALLY bulky ice maker/water which takes up A LOT of fridge space. You really have to go see them in person.

    We wanted more fridge space so that was key to us since we are planning on getting a upright freezer anyway.

    @PinkMagnolia:

    I wish I could give you the models we are looking at! But we are looking for the opposite of what you’re looking at. GL!
