My best friend’s water broke last night, and she was induced about 3 hours ago!!! I’m so excited and nervous for her! This is her birst baby.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions of what I should/could be doing at this point? I live about an hour away, and definitely don’t want to impose as I imagine both sets of parents would be there already. I told them to let me know when I can visit, but is there anything I can do for them that would be helpful today or over the next couple of weeks?

@christoffels: I suggest you visit her in hospital, maybe tomorrow. (Today she’ll just want to rest). Make it a short visit and check what the hospital’s visiting hours are. (And check she’s still there). (When I gave birth, visiting hours were quite limited, but that was in Australia). I liked visitors, it was like, “Yes, people are excited for me”. I don’t think you can actually do anything to help while she’s in hospital.
Then visit again in a few weeks when she’s settled down at home. That’s a good time to visit and help her e.g. with her laundry.
