We’re meeting with our DJ soon to finish up the final details. I trust him to play good songs and play off the crowd, but we want to give him a “must play” list and a “do not play” list. Because my priority is throwing a fun party and getting people on the dance floor…share your favorite songs to dance to at a wedding! Or the songs that you’ve noticed always get the most guests involved/dancing (but NOT the cliche ones like the Electric Slide or Macarena…barf.)

I always find “Bar songs” the most fun.
This is a list of 200 most requested songs!! There are some greats on this list!
I’ve gotta feeling by Black Eyed Peas is fun too!!

I know it is cliche…but….seriously…the one dance that the most people danced to at my wedding was the chicken dance. Oh I cringe saying it, but it was true! And to think I almost added it to the do not play list!
Also Kid Rock’s All Summer Long got people moving.

Idk about everywhere else but in Texas at the hick clubs the cupid shuffle is huge.
It pulls everyone out on the floor!

I think it depends on your music personality and your guests’ opinions. Swing dance and salsa are awesome to get people on their feet if they know the steps. Hip hop is good too but might divide the middle-aged to older crowd.
I’d say choose what you and he would like to dance to (if you ever get the time) as a base.
And, Thriller, always!
