My FI’s aunt emailed me to RSVP for our welcome brunch & then asked if there is a gift we would like. I didn’t register because this is my second wedding (although it’s FI’s first). We don’t need a lot of house stuff.
i mentioned that we were thinking about getting season tickets to a local theater company. I thought they could contribute if they wanted since it’s pretty expensive.
His aunt emailed me back and said to take the season tickets off the list. They bought us a subscription and she wanted to confirm which day of the week will work for us.
i am so excited. That’s 7 date nights that will already be paid for. So generous of them!!

@minniemluv: That’s crazy! That’s what my mom got for us, too! She wanted to get us something personal, and she knew how much we love theatre. Isn’t it just the best gift?

What a fantastic idea! I might steal this in the future, but more for a symphony type of thing. Wow, how wonderful to have people that love you that much. 🙂
