I have a bob haircut, but my hair is fine and wavy, so I was thinking rather than fight May humidity, I should have a wedding day hairstyle that takes advantage of curl.
I haven’t used hot rollers since I was a little girl, but since I’m doing DIY hair, I was thinking that I should buy a set now and get good at curling my hair in the next month and a half. There seems to be a lot of opinion out there about who makes the best set of hot rollers. Anybody want to give their two cents? The only requirement is that they can’t be jumbo curlers since I have short hair. Recommendations??

I’ve used hot rollers just about every day since 4th grade, I know this. This is the set I use now, which is just an updated version of what I’ve used for about 10 years. The shank has a soft rubber so it doesn’t slide out of your hair, and the clips are the u-shaped pins so you don’t get a crease. Since you said your hair is short and rather fine, these should be enough. There are two sizes, 5 of each. Curling under is great, but if you curl up (it’s a little harder to do) you can get a really romantic looking tousle, rather than a flip. Make sure to put some at the top (crown) of your head for lift, otherwise there’s danger of a mushroom look. Good luck! Here’s my recommendation, about $12.99 at WalMart

Great recs so far! I’ve definitely heard good things about Remington curlers too. I’m going to try and have a friend tutorial before the wedding on hair curlers, so I can avoid the "mushroom" as you call it!
