I have the Tarva 6 drawer chest, the Hemnes 3 drawer chest and the Malm 6 drawer chest and they are all great for different things.  The Malm is the only one I actually use for clothes storage on a daily basis but it has held up great and the drawers slide well which I like.  I have the Hemnes in the gray-washed wood in a guest room and I like the way it looks (I was able to add nicer drawer pulls which I loved) but it is rarely used so I can’t speak to durability.  I bought the Tarva in a natural wood and painted it.  I wanted it to “hack” and it was the only one that is solid wood.  It is pretty good quality for that reason.  Here’s the Tarva.  Sorry if the pic is huge.

We have the whole Malm bedroom set. It’s durable and still looks great 7 years later. We originally started off with just a 3 drawer dresser but bought another 3 drawer to go with it. I like that we can use them together so they look just like the 6 drawer that they offer but I can split them up down the road if I need to.

We have two of the Malm 6 drawer dressers in white. We also have 1 of the Malm nightstands (chest with two drawers). We plan to go back and buy another of the same nightstand. I really recommend them. They slide really well and are durable.

I have the Malm set. I can’t speak on durability Because ive only had it for about 8 months. IMO it definitely feels kinda cheap. If you have to get it then I say do so but if you don’t I would just go to Ashley or buy off Craigslist.

I also have the whole Hemnes set.   I have the double bed frame, night stand, and 8 drawer dresser….all in white.  I bought it in 2005 when I moved into my first post-college apartment and since then it has moved A LOT.   It went from my apartment, to my brothers apartment (when I moved back home), then to a storage unit, then to my parents spare bedroom, and now we have it in our guest room!   It has held up perfectly, with the exception of a few scratches from moving.   I can’t recommend it enough and I’m thinking we will get a few more IKEA pieces when we move to our new house in the fall.

I’ve always loved the Hemnes set. I have the tall dresser and have used it for 4+ years. It’s sturdy, holds a lot and looks great!
