I worked as a CNA at a nursing home. I made 10+ an hour, got benefits, and worked as much as I wanted. Plus, it is steady work!

Oooh, tough call.  Especially since I often worked 2-3 jobs at a time!  However, the nanny gig with gave me a free place to live, and I am still good friends with the family today.  Since the child was older, I just had to make sure he woke up, went through his morning routine, and drove him to school.

I also was a receptionist at a CPA firm–to this day, I still get a discount on my taxes with them!  I had great hours, but they were nice about flexibility on the rare occasion that I needed extra time off.  Most of the time I was able to study or write papers, since I worked there in the “off-season.”

Oooh I also vote for nannying! I’m a nanny, and make loads of quick cash (no taxes!) for just hanging and doing homework, and playing 🙂

Sittercity.com is an awesome website to find local baby- or pet-sitting jobs. They even have listings for housecleaning or house-sitting. It’s awesome.

I worked at a spa inside of a gym. (It’s actually where I met my fiance!)

I got my hair, makeup, nails and massages, facials, and waxing all done for free!  Huuuuge perk.

I actually really enjoyed TA-ing, but I’m kind of a nerd.

A girl who I knew worked reception at a plastic surgeon’s office. Every year instead of an annual bonus, they were allowed to have one cosmetic surgery and only had to pay for the “parts” (so like, paying for the silicon implants but not the doctor’s bills). She loved it and worked there for at least 4 years. And yes, she had an elective surgery every year.

I was a nanny. I lived near school during the summer and was a nanny all summer long. Then during the school year I was either an after school nanny or a babysitter on weekends. I loved making straight cash and I love kids so it was perfect.

I worked in the Student Accounts office during the year for work-study and honestly had the best time. The people that actually worked in there all became like another mom to me so I had about 7 moms during my entire time in college. I was able to come and go as I wanted with work but when my hours ran out, I couldn’t work anymore 🙁

I worked for an upscale nanny agency. Awesome money!

Then I worked at Victoria’s Secret (which I still do) it’s a pretty decent job. Easy, good discount, free stuff.

I was a Resident Assistant, and the next year got to be a step up and basically be an assistant Resident Director.  It was fantastic!  I loved working with the other RAs in my building and we had a great time!

I also worked in a writing center in the library and tutored other college students in writing.  It was decent money, but the best part was if no one came in I got to sit and do homework while getting paid.
