@hopefloats:  Wusthof Classic are my favorites! I’ve never cut with anything better!

If they aren’t sharp enough you could always sharpen them.  I would return them though if the balance or weight just didn’t feel right to you.

Have this set, it was only about $900 (which is pretty good for a really nice knife set)

but my go to knife is the shun fuji slicing knife.

I hear great things about Wusthof and JA Henckles (sp?). I owe a Cuisinart one and the knives are starting to rust. I’ve only had it 2 years and don’t use them often, so it’s def not recommended.

I have the Wustoff Gourmet 12 piece set. And I also have Wustoff Classic Cook’s knife and boning knife.  We like having the two cooks knives since we prep together a lot, and the weight of the classic is better but I honestly don’t notice that much between the classic and gourmet.

I LOVE CUTCO knives, plus they have a forever guarentee. But the pampered chef knives are really sharp as well and have a warranty.

@hopefloats:  Oh, I never saw your BB&B comment.

You can still check out william sonoma though.

They still have good price sets
