If you want something that’s not going to come off you should really switch to gel liners.

I used to use M.A.C.’s Penultimate, a liquid pen liner. It would come out nice and dark, but it easily smudged or wore off as the day went on. I’m a total eye rubber type of person. I always end up touching my eyes.

Once I started using gel liners it was a whole new world. They come out really dark and they last all day. I use E.L.F gel liner because it costs $3 and it’s comparable to the more expensive ones I’ve tried.

I use my own Sephora small angled brush to apply it, not the one that comes in the packet.

I use Sephora brand liquid eyeliner, it doesn’t even come off if I cry.
But I am sure there are better ones out there 🙂

Honestly if you want all day wear like that you really should try out gel eyeliners. I love them and they don’t have to be expensive.  (PP sugested elf, but maybaline also carries one as well, atho I will admit when I have the extra cash I love the bobby brow gel eyeliner)

I use Kat VonD tattoo liner…and it lives up to it’s name! Bought at Sephora.

@petalpetal:  I’ve been using the ELF gel liner for a week and while I love the ease of application and the color, it smudges like crazy at the edges if I wipe my eye during the day. What am I doing wrong?? I got it to try out for e-photos and the wedding, and I’ve been wearing it to work to get the hang of it. I’ve been using MACs regular eyeshadow in carbon with an angled brush as a liner for years, and while it didn’t last 12+ hours…. it didn’t smudge….

I feel like a makeup failure if I can’t make smudge proof gel liner stay put. Hah.

@DrDiane80:  Try setting it with black eyeshadow and a little angled brush, I do that daily and my liner looks the same 8 hours later most days!

I personally use Prestige liquid eyeliner. Lasts a while, and is on the inexpensive side. I usually buy it from Amazon. 🙂

edit: It does wash off, though. (It doesn’t come off much during the day, but does when I shower).

Makeup Forever, best I’ve used.  I have to scrub it off and it still doesn’t want to budge!  When they say forever, they mean it, lol.

I have both liquid and gel liners. I definately prefer the maybelline eyestudio gel. In my opinion i have better control over the ammount used and where it goes. Also with the smaller brush end and it being less flexible than the liquid brush i have way more stability. It lasts all day and takes a hell of a lot of rubbing to get off.
