The goofy best moment was we were getting ready to do our grand entrance into the reception, to the intro of Enter Sandman. Our wedding party enters goofy and high energy, we get ready to go and realize we hadn’t planned anything. I quickly tried to shout “do a dip kiss” but he didn’t hear me and I kept saying it and he got it so we had an awesome dip kiss…. then I said chest bump. But I hadn’t quite got back on my feet, we did the chest bump… I landed on my skirt and fell flat on my face. It was hysterical.

One huge, unexpected plus of getting married in an urban centre was all of the people who waved at us, called us beautiful, took photos with our wedding car and took photos of/with us!

Congrats! My monent was when we got called up at our reception to cut our cake. Our favorite song was playing and we were just talking while all our guests took their photos. It was amazing to hear mr and mrs and then have time to talk to each other and get close 🙂 found out afterwards that was his moment too.

We had our drinks reception outside, and my favourite moment was walking the perimeter of the park with my husband, watching the party unfold for a minute! It was the only private time we had all day.
Oh, and the look on his face when he turned round as I walked up the aisle. He wasn’t going to, but I could see his best man saying ‘trust me, you want to see this’ to him… that still makes me well up now!

We decided to do a first look and that was my favorite moment. It had been a hectic day so it was so nice just to see him all dressed up. The photographers had him turned away as I walked up to him from behind. We started talking as I walked up and it was so nice to hear his voice. We hadn’t talked since the rehearsal dinner the night before and instantly all the tiny details I was stressing over melted away. We stood back to back holding hands just taking in the moment before turning around. We couldn’t stop laughing bc we play thumbs wars randomly all the time.. you put your thumb on the other persons thumb, count to 3 and you win lol. I don’t know how started it but that happened. lol the photographers couldn’t figure it why we were laughing so much. When we finally turned around it was amazing. I’ll never forget the look on his face when he saw me. It was so nice just to have that moment to ourselves. Well the photographers too but honestly it’s like they weren’t even there.

So sweet! We were staying in a room at the venue that night, the rooms were maybe a 5 minute walk away from the reception room. Staff kindly offered to drive us in a cart to our room but it had been 37 degrees celsius that day (99 fahrenheit?) and was still super warm so we declined. There were beautiful lights on around the lake where we had our ceremony and we just walked slowly back, hand in hand, soaking in our first moment properly alone as husband and wife. It was so special!

The first look was by far my favorite moment of the day. Just the two of us.

One of my favorite moments was when, right after the officiant pronounced us Man and Wife, just before he kissed me, my new husband gave me the tiniest wink. I was the only one who saw it, a made me smile even more.

There were two different locations at our venue where I had wanted to take some photos with my husband. One was a section of forest with a waterfall, and the other was a boardwalk through the trees. The first we had to drive down a road to get to, while the second was only accessible by golf carts. My SIL decorated a golf cart for us for the second part.
Anyway, the venue wedding coordinator told us we would have time to go to both of these locations during our cocktail hour. (Which was actually an hour and a half.) However, when I arrived at my wedding, she told me she wanted to cut the second photo location out to save time. I knew in my heart there wasn’t actually time for both, so I accepted it and moved on. But I was disappointed.
My photographers were so sweet though, and told us to eat dinner really fast, visit the tables, and then meet them out back. They had our golf cart waiting for us. So my husband and I ran away from our wedding with our photographers. We left everyone eating dinner and went and took our photos. The photos themselves were nice, but the real fun was the two of us zooming around in our decorated golf cart when no one knew where we were. We had so much fun, and I am so glad our photographers planned that little bit of mischief for us. We made it back in time for our first dance.

we eloped locally, and did a luncheon at a restaurant on the river after which, some guests departed and some decided to be spontaneous with us and go to our favorite neighborhood bar, after dancing and drinking, and laughing and having the best time we were beat.. it was after 8PM at this point.. and we had started at like 6 AM that day, our wedding was at 11 AM and our luncheon was at 1 so we had been on the GO! but we were starving… sooooooowe decided to leave the bar and walk to our fav thai place in our wedding attire, and we had pad thai for the first time as a married couple… after our awesome wedding, that was my favorite moment, when it was just us, in our element, in our attire… then we walked home hand in hand =)

I was also hoisted up on a chair and sung to by all the guys in hubbys squadron. One of my favorite moments & it was all captured on guests video. Sadly our photographer was long gone by then. sunburn :
My next moment was when my handicapped dad decided to break from our planned slow dance… it was to Hendrix’s All Along the Watchtower…to completely busting out moves 5 seconds in. He paid for it later but said it was totally worth it. Everyone was cheering. 😊

We had a lot of great stolen moments but I think “throwing our bouquet” was a top
With the bouquet we had this balcony we both went up to and we called everyone over for the toss, and then what we actually did was rip all the petals off the flowers and throw them down. It was a great moment. Followed by an even better moment when after everyone was laughing I chucked the now completely flowerless bouquet at a friend who caught it and gave me the finger. We have a photo of that and it was priceless.
My personal best moment was I got to hold a snake at our ceremony venue. it was awesome. Turns out my husband is more afraid of snakes than I am so that’s not a top 10 moment for him.
