Fiance and I are having 1 maid of honor, 3 bridesmaid, 1 best man, and 3 groomsman in our wedding. The best man is in the Air Force and will be returning from a deployment to Afghanistan just weeks before the wedding.
Both Fiance and I ADORE him and are SO very proud of him. My question is, does Bridesmaid or Best Man where his Dress Blues in lieu of a tuxedo like the other guys will be wearing? Or is this something that typically only happens when the groom is in the military?

This really depends on what he wants to do. He CAN wear his blues if he really wants to but I usually only see that when the groom is in the military as well or the groomsman wants to. My cousin, for example, is in the Navy and wore his dress uniform for his sister’s wedding, but he said he mainly did that to pick up on chicks, lol.
He can wear a suit. Or he can wear his dress uniform. Ask him what he’d prefer and go with that.

Military Dress Uniform ALWAYS trumps a tuxedo when it comes to formality… So if the BMan wants to wear that for a formal Wedding so be it. But as the others have said the choice should be his to make

I have requested that my military guys wear their dress uniforms. They don’t have to but are doing it to make me happy.

He can elect which he wants to wear. The military uniforms always look amazing, and it shows off how proud you are of him, but if he’s more comfortable in a tux, then either are good!
