I’m trying to slim down quick, for my wedding in June! I need to lose 15-20 pounds. Will my extremely busy schedule with school, I think meal replacement shakes are my best option. Maybe having 1-2 a day. I drink premier shakes but I get hungry pretty quickly after so I need to pair it went something else low carb. So what are your best low carb meal replacement shakes and what do you pair them with if you get hungry fast like me!

Try IdealShakes from the brand IdealShape – they taste great, mix well with just water (aren’t gritty), are only 100 calories, and will genuinely keep you full for 2.5-3hrs!

If you’re getting hungry fast, you need to up your protein and fiber intake. Both will help you stay full. I use Shakeology for a shake base and, if doing it for a meal replacement, will add Greek yogurt, almond milk, a leafy green vegetable (kale or spinach), and fruit.
FWIW, losing 15-20 pounds by June (roughly 8 weeks) is an unattainable goal for most people. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. If you were consistent only the 2pound a week loss, maybe you could do it, but I doubt just switching out a meal or two for a shake is going to get you there.

I like the Garden of Life “Meal” — vegan, gluten free, high protein, high fiber, low carb and available at a reasonable price via Amazon. (I’ve noticed it’s more expensive at Whole Foods.) I make it with unsweetened almond or macadamia milk and it’s not bad, keeps me feeling full for quite a while.

I like Body Fortress Whey Protein powder (chocolate). Blend a scoop of it with milk or Silk unsweetened soymilk and you’ve got lots of protein with few carbs. I have this on my way to work every morning; about 300 calories (200 for the whey and 100 for the soymilk) and keeps me full for 4 hours.

Have you tried switching to the keto diet? I know this isn’t what you’re asking for, but I basically cut out all carbs, started tracking my hidden carb intake (like sugar in sauces and stuff), and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months, without having to eat less or restrict calories. I’m eating a ton of cheese and bacon and fun foods. I did it for 2 full months, and then now I’m back on eating carbs sometimes (limited amount) and I’m still losing weight (just a bit slower than before).
