Hi fellow Bees! 🙂
My Fiance does not have too many close guy friends, isnt close with his brother, other male figures in his life are either alcoholics (stepdad), or have been quite vacant in his life (dad). He has (almost!) decided to ask his closest and favorite Aunt to stand beside him on our special day. I think it is an awesome choice because you should have someone stand beside you that you honor, are close to, and has been supportive of you for a long time!
What do you think we should call his Aunt?
Thanks for the feedback!

I’d ask her, she might have a preference. Woman of Honour sounds a little Queen of England/Bridal, though.

Did you ask the Aunt??? I love it!!!
My husband lost his father years ago (like 15) and doesn’t have any grandparents left. So he asked his uncle who is in his 70s… versus his younger groomsmen. I love that we had such a close relative really part of the ceremony and our photos. And he gave an awesome speech!
What title did you go with? I love the “honour” title, cracks me up.

Call the maid of honour, her role doesn’t change because she’s on the groom’s side

We have a Best Woman on his side, and a Bridesman on my side. They got a kick out of those!
