My skin has been really dry for some reason lately and I think I need a better moisturizer. I’ve been using the Neutrogena Healthy Skin line for a while because it has a retinol type ingredient in it, but I think I need something thicker for night that doesn’t have sunscreen in it.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Cetaphil! Super moisturizing and goes on thick, plus comes in a huge tub so it will last you forever. The gentle face wash is good too. I Can’t use any Neutrogena products, they are so drying.

+1 to Cetaphil!
My dermatologist recommended their face wash awhile back and I bought their lotion as well and love both products. My skin gets super dry but then I had an issue is the lotion being too oily/causing a breakout. Cetaphil products work great for me though!

CerVe PM lotion. Tons of great ingredients, low price. It’s what my dermatologist recommends to everyone.

Cetaphil and Cerave are great. I also highly recommend a cleansing oil. I use Shu Uemura. It is expensive but the $67 bottle lasts 7 months for me. And they always give a ton of useful samples for traveling.

I’ve been using this stuff lately & I love it! My skin feels so soft and hydrated and it doesn’t make me oily or break out. Also a little goes a long ways so it’s a good value for the price.

Every lotion makes me break out except Arbonne!

argan oil !!!! All day. yoir skin will drink it up. It also works to heal any scratches and stuff like that…I use it on everything lol. I like Josie Maran …QVC has great sets. She also has a moisturizer with the oil which I like a lot too !!

Would you mind explaining this to me? Everyone recommends it and says it’s great, but I tried it once and almost immediately broke out. Do you mix the oil with something?

I’m not sure if it’s available in the US, but QV Skin Care is excellent. I’ve used the QV face moisturising day cream (with SPF 30+) and the nurturing night cream for a few years now.
It’s been recommended by dermatologists here in Australia and is really reasonably priced too.

If you’re willing to splurge (and it will last you FOREVER), Sunday Riley Luna oil is a miracle in a bottle.

WIll any kind of oil product make my skin oily? I used to have combination skin but it’s turned totally dry since using the retinol lotion. I am afraid to try the cocunut oil since I have a tree nut allergy.
I am willing to splurge so I will have to look these products up. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I personally dont mix with anything, but a little tiny bit goes a longgg way, maybe you used too much? I literally use like a 1/4 of a dime sized amount for my face. Maybe try putting on, letting it sit for a minute and then splashing a bit of water on your face? Also make sure it is 100% extra virgin coconut oil. Hope this helps!
