I love Taboo, Clue, Sorry… these are some of the boards games we have at home and we play alot with them when my girls come over and his guys as well. It’s fun to have couples against couples.

I love Taboo, Scattergories, Apples to Apples and Guesstures.  For groups Guestures is so fun just because you have to act pretty silly.  I love Monopoly too but I’m as a crazy mogul building and buying that no one likes to play with me. 😛

I recommend games that people are less likely to already have. Bohnanza and Carcassone are really fun, but I don’t know that you’d consider them party games.

Taboo, Apples to Apples and Pit are my favorites.

Taboo is my absolute favorite party game, but if you’re trying to find one people probably don’t have, I’d go with Outburst. GREAT game, totally underrated.
