@baletrina: Love all of your options! I think Taboo is my fave though…

OP The only one I would add to the list is Cranium. Cute gift idea!

ditto on Apples to Apples, Balderdash, Scattegories – all great group games.

We found a random game called Loaded Questions – and have the MOST fun playing that with a group of friends.

ETA:  cute idea, btw!

Something you might consider.  Get each person a Monopoly game, but select a themed one connected to a special interest of theirs.  Mr. Cappugcino just bought me Pug-opoly and he has a Star Wars or Star Trek one, can’t remember which.

All of my favorites have been mentioned.

I love Cappogcino’s idea about the different kinds of Monopoly!

Rummikub is super fun, less board game though. Oh and if they know how to play, I have recently discovered the fun of chicken foot and Mexican Train with dominios. And no one has said ImagineIf! It has brought many hours of hilarity to my family.

Another vote for Apples to Apples! You’ve Been Sentenced is another fun one of the same ilk.

I actually registered for games! We did Scrabble, Monopoly, Clue, Candyland (yes, Candyland) and I think a few others I can’t remember.
