I am a profesional photographer and if you are looking for, in my opinion, the very best photo editing software buy Adobe Lightroom. It is about a $200 program. There are tutorials online that you can watch and learn from. You do not need to be a rocket scientist to operate the program either. You would be amazed at what you can do with it. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I love Picasa 3 or Picnik for the freebie options — not savvy enough to spend money on a program!  But good luck with whatever you choose to do!

You can’t go wrong with something Adobe and they have a wide price range to chose from. I personally love Adobe Photoshop. It is fairly pricey but the editing possibilities are endless…

lightroom is both an imaging editing program, and a workflow program to increase your efficieny.  it is excellent and the program i use the most for almost ALL my editing….

if that fails, photoshop is the backup…theres nothing you cannot do in photoshop, but it takes a lot more knowledge and know-how….but ofc, thats what the internet is for! theres billions of tutorials and websites that teach you how to do things in photoshop.

lightroom is a lot cheaper too

yeah, Lightroom rocks.  Takes a little time to learn but you have a lot of flexibility to correct lighting & color issues, turing an otherwise bad photo into something that looks amazing.

I use Picasa, too. You should try it since it’s free, and if you want something more sophisticated, go with Photo Shop.
