Veils are always grossly overpriced in the salons. I would recommend getting it through Etsy or other online retailer.

If you’re looking for someone local, these two ladies work from their homes in the LA area and are both great:

You can search the Accessories thread for other recommended online sellers. I remember seeing this name often:

Another option would be to go downtown, I know there is a wedding section there in the garment district but I don’t know any specific shops.

@sfchick: Thanks for  asking this!  I’ve been fretting about the same thing.  Just picked up my dress this weekend so now it’s time to find a veil.

@meliss: thanks for the info!!

ps: now go vote on when to have the rescheduled LA meet-up πŸ™‚

Well, I haven’t been there myself since they are only open the public M-F 10-2pm (and cash only) but there is an Erica Koesler factory in North Hollywood.  They have pretty good reviews.  (If you go let me know how you like it!  I need to get off work one day and go out there).

I’ve also heard good reviews about Royal Accessories in Dtla.  Again, I haven’t been out of work/near dtla lately to check it out.

Either that or maybe ask your seamstress if they can make one for you.  Personally, I’ve been to afraid of it not matching to try buying one online.

@sfchick:Thanks!  Everything went smoothly at the bridal salon.  Oh and they showed me a $400!!!! veil which i’m in love with but which is obviously ridiculous!.  Will be looking for something way cheaper.

@sfchick: Do report back if you go to the Erica Koesler factory–I’ll be out there at the end of the month and that sounds like a very productive way to kill some time while FH is working. πŸ™‚  As a short-haired girl, I need me a cute headband or something.
