We live in AZ and our families live in New Husband and OH. We decided destination wedding on the beach would be best, we are looking at Florida, Outer Banks and New England. Where should we get married? We are open to other places too! Thanks in advance

I love the Outer Banks! But since some of your family is in New Husband, I voted for the New England Coast because getting to the Outer Banks might be more difficult travel-wise.
Edit: What about Charleston, SC?? Charleston is a fun city to visit and there are several beaches nearby. Kiawah beach is supposed to be really nice!

I’ve heard about some ah-mazing weddings at the Outer Banks, but I agree with mousegirl that getting there could be an issue (the OBX is still pretty remote).

Check out Sea Island, Georgia. So beautiful. George Bush and Barbara Bush honeymooned there!

I vacation in OBX every year. I love it there, and if I ever decide to have a beach wedding that is where I’ll have it. Check out a town named Duck (in the Kitty Hawk area of NC).

I live in Florida and I would not come here for a wedding. I think New England would be stunning. Is Hawaii an option? Lol

I’m getting married in the Outer Banks! 🙂 One thing I feel a bit bad about is for the people that are flying… It is a 2 hour drive from the airport to our wedding location. Most of our guests are driving, but for those who do have to fly, I wish it weren’t quite that far!

I got engaged in Destin FL, & if we had the resources we woul so be getting merried there! The Emeral Coast is amazing.
Also I’m from New England and have vacationed in Maine every year I love it really but it’s never really warm and the water is soo cold even in August!

Where in NH? It is expensive on the New Hampshire seacoast…Maine and Mass might work better. Both Maine and Mass have better drinking laws, too, I think (last call in New Husband is 12:30 UGH).
I am getting married in Portsmouth, by the way!

Hawaii…but I am biased.
Based on your other options I think NE seacoast will be stunning!

New England absolutely!! We thought about getting married on Nantucket – it would be amazing!

My vote is us virgin islands… St Thomas! But I am biased…. My wedding is going to be there in October!
If you do Florida… My vote would be key west…. Very pretty there!

I agree with @weddingbound and vote for St. Thomas, but I am biased as I am also getting married there.

I am from Louisiana, but I know several brides who have done a beautiful destination wedding in New Orleans. It’s certainly cheaper than a lot of other cities and has lot of character and charm.

@StarryNight2011: Yeah, I agree OBX are hard to get to. I didn’t even think of SC before, it is very pretty there too. Thanks for the advice!
@star_dust: Lol I haven’t been to FL yet but it looks really pretty in pictures! NE seacoast would be very pretty, just not exciting for me because I grew up there. I love Hawaii but it is not an option for us because the plane tix would be too expensive for my guests.
@peachacid: I am from Warner like 20 mins north of Concord. I know I was checking out places in the Portsmouth area and they are all pretty pricey. I love Old Orchard Beach and the Cape area. Where are you getting married in Portsmouth?
@weddingbound: St. Thomas is beautiful! It’s a little too far for my guests though, I will check out the Keys.
