Anybody have a good, reliable resource for loose, conflict-free diamonds that aren’t ridiculously marked up by big box stores? I’ve checked out stores in my area without much luck, so I was wondering if there might be other resources.
Have any of you gotten your diamonds this way?

If you don’t mind going the online route there is brilliantearth.com
You should check them out. I think my Fiance was looking into them originally but was then introduced to a fantastic local jeweler which is who he decided to go with!

Brilliant Earth – great quality, lovely people to work with. That’s where my ring is from!

Any of the popular online vendors – they all have great reputations, no markup, excellent customer service, and all guaranteed conflict free. Blue Nile, Brilliant Earth, James Allen, Whiteflash, Brian Gavin, Good Old Gold.

We went Blue Nile. They were the best value for the amount of effort. Fiance was adamant that we got a conflict free diamond (I wanted one too– but that was FI’s only request) and we found that Blue Nile had them without a huge markup.

Would have to agree that Blue Nile is still the best in this regard. They have more of a virual selection than any other vendor and prices are fair. Can be difficult to figure out which diamonds are better than others, but a great guide can be found here: http://www.onlinediamondbuyingadvice.com/diamond-website-reviews/blue-nile-review/
