I got mine in the Walmart garden section.  I believe they have both options there, though I haven’t looked since last year for my own wedding.

I’ve been looking at amazon they have lots of different types and they seem reasonably priced.

futuremrsjrc0917:  Remember to do a search on http://www.searchtempest.com

It lists all ads on all Craigslist sites. You can search using your zipcode to minimize shipping costs. Many brides sell their decor after one use at their wedding.

I was lucky enough to find over 500′ of new string lights at a former event planner’s garage sale for only $50.00. Also got wine glasses and mason jars and mugs at various garage sales over the past many months.

We bought 25 boxes, gave us about 400 feet if I rmember correctly, we did 3 strands per line connected together (Im pretty sure) I would have to double check with the hubby, this was his project lol.

But I know we had 25 boxes. We connected 3 strands, they connected together great. Ill track down a night photo for you too!

almostmrse2016:. They DO daisy chain, but I don’t remember off the top of my head how many you can link end to end. It is more than I originally thought, though.

I still have ours and would be happy to resell them to you if you’re interested. PM me.

These are all such beautiful ideas! How did you all power them though? Are they battery operated or did you run extension cords? I’m having trouble finding battery operated string lights longer than 6 ft.

jenaface :  Most people need to use extension cords. Very few outdoor venues have outlets strategically located for string lighting.

Alternatively you could use  solar operated string lights.

julies1949 :  My wedding is acutally indoors but I don’t want cords running donw the walls or across the dance floor. I finally found some good battery operated ones and I really like the ones you posted too. Thanks!
