I think my one of the colors for my wedding will be sage green, so I was planning to make tissue pom poms. However, when I checked Michaels, they didn’t have a very good selection of colors in their tissue paper at all!
Can anyone tell me where I can get nice colors for good prices on tissue paper? Does Party City have a wide selection? Or someplace online I can order from?
Also, what’s a good estimate for how many packs of tissue paper I should buy? How many large pom poms (like hanging paper lantern size) does one pack make? What about little pom poms, flower sized, for attaching to favor boxes?
Thanks for your help!

I’ve been making these for a friend’s shower and I found a bunch of tissue paper at Target. You might want to check there. Any store should have it. I was only looking for pink though, so a more specific color may be harder. On the Martha Stewart website is says to use 8 sheets for the big ones. The packs I have been buying are about a dollar and it comes with 10 sheets. I think that the big ones are too big, though so I’ve been cutting the sheets in half before folding them.
Hope this helps!

try papermart.com, I ordered a pack of their tissue paper for Out of Town bags and gifts. For the quantity you are prob looking for I feel it’s your best bet and they have a ton of colors. The stack I received was approx. 1.5-2" thick.

I had the exact same question… our colors are sage green and ivory, and I wanted to make the tissue paper poms. I contacted a knottie (Nole, her bio is amazing) and she told me to use Nashville Wraps. I haven’t ordered any yet, but I plan to. Good luck!

beelight – I’m in Boston, and my wedding is at the end of May. I’ve heard these are tons of work, so it would be great to get two uses out of them!
