Our photographer just got us our disks with our wedding photos. While we plan to order our album through her and any photos we plan to display, I was thinking of printing out all our photos out as inexpensive 4×6 photos to put in a standard photo album, just so we’ll have them.
Doing this through our photographer is out of the question- they cost about $8 a print for a 4×6.
However, I’ve seen the quality difference between her printers and places like Walgreens…. it’s just so noticable.
So, I wondered if anybody out there had a suggestion for decent quality prints that are reasonably priced.

I printed out about 800 4×6 after our wedding for something like 7 cents each. I was very pleased with the quality and timliness.
Search coupon codes too – they always have them!

We used mpix.com which was actually a recommendation from our photographer and I could tell a BIG difference in their pics and the pics I got at CVS. Plus they have several different finishes you can choose from, and really good prices. You can also have picture books made, and all sorts of other stuff. I made a book, and I really like how it turned out! 🙂

Thanks! I’ll check both of these out.
I’m thinking I might order a few test prints from different places to compare quality before making a large order.

While I am a huge fan of mpix, I don’t think it’s worth the extra money for 4×6’s that will mostly be used for proofing purposes. Go with the snapfish.

It doesn’t sound as classy, but I love Costco photos! They are $.13 for a 4×6, and I think that they are excellent quality!!

many photogs use
Mpix is a good one-color stays true
JUST SAY NO to Walgreens, Snapfish and Walmart as they add too much yellow to the printing process and end up screwing with the colors.
Costco is good, but make sure to click OFF of auto-correct.
