We plan on registering for camping supplies. Where did you register for yours?

REI is a great store for camping supplies.

I second REI. And they have a great return policy if you register for something, use it, and then decide you dont like it, you can return it up to 1 year

they say member things on their site. What does that involve/mean?

We registered for most of our camping stuff through amazon

REI!! You can become a member for $20 for a lifetime, and you get 10% back in the form of merchandise credit on some items – they call it ‘dividends’. You definitely don’t need to do it though.

Another vote for REI. I just bought a gift for friends that are registered there and it was delivered to them only two or three days after I bought it!

I recommend REI as well. Depending on where you live LL Bean, Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops are good options as well.

I have to ask…how did your guests like ordering on Amazon? I’ve definitely had mixed reviews.

Yet another one for REI – they will let you return ANYTHING and have amazing customer service. I would pay $20 for a membership ahead of time – I think you can register and people can buy with your membership ID attached to the purchase (this was the case last time a had a friend who registered at REI for a wedding). This is great because then you don’t need any receipt or anything if you want to exchange or return. They also let you return for cash even if it was bought on a credit card as long as the purchase history is on your membership ID and it’s been at least like 10 days since the purchase (long enough for the credit card purchase to be finalized).

Where do you typically buy your camping supplies? Why don’t you just register there?
REI is great, but also pricey.
We are thinking of registering for some camping stuff on Amazon.

Amazon. REI was too expensive for us.
