@DClare:  In Courtice (just next to Oshawa) is Val’s Bridal on Hwy 2. They have dresses for a range of prices. Worth a try. Very friendly and helpful.
There’s a bridal store in Oshawa but they were much more expensive.
Whitby (just past Oshawa) has Bliss Bridal – not sure if you’ll find much in your price range, though.
You should also look into Peterborough.

@DClare:  If you can get a bit farther – David’s bridal is a good option, too. I think there’s one in Scarborough.

try the Brides Project in Toronto.  They sell second hand dresses, and some new direct from the designers with all the proceeds going to breast cancer.  I also second Davids Bridal

@DClare:  There is a bridal store in Cobourg. I’ve never been, so I’m not sure what the price range is. Runway Bridal in Belleville is lovely, but I don’t know price ranges. Bridal Creations in Kingston is great, lots of selection, but a bit far at 1h20 mins away.

I second the recommendation for David’s Bridal in Scarborough…it isn’t far, and they have a big selection of dresses. You can even check them out online first!

If you only have a couple days I would suggest spending time in the bigger cities which have a ton of stores really close together (like Toronto) versus the smaller cities.
