i’ve been using naturemade.  and i have to take them with food.  i actually take it as soon as i take my last bite of breakfast.  if i take it before or wait to long after it makes me feel sick.

howtobeawife:  I have a really sensitive stomach, and I take New Chapter Perfect Prenatal (order off Amazon).  They are whole-food complexed and organic, so I think that makes them much easier on the stomach.  I take them all at night before bed, can even be on an empty stomach, and I have had no problems with them at all.  I did have to supplement some extra folic acid though because these didn’t have quite enough for what my midwife liked to see (I just went to the GNC and picked up a random folic acid supplement, which didn’t bother my stomach eitherr).

howtobeawife:  I used New Chapter Organic prenatals. It’s easier on your stomach since you take 3 pills instead of all those vitamins at once. I am not sure I can credit this for not getting sick, but if it matters I didn’t have MS.

A lot of people with sensitive tummies favor gummy prenatals, so that may be something to try if you aren’t very good at remembering to take pills.

I take Spring Valley.  I have a sensative stomach and never really had any problems with them.

howtobeawife:  A third vote for new chapter! They are the best for me and I love the probiotics. I have always been the nauseous type, and was not surprised to have horrible morning (well all day sickness) for the first trimester, and I could still take them on a empty stomach — I even take all 3 at once.  I am slightly anemic and take their iron too, and it is also on an empty stomach and I always feel great. Love this company 🙂 (I get mine at sprouts or online.)

Another vote for Naturemade!  I have GERD, so pretty much permanent acid reflux, and so far this brand hasn’t bothered me.  I always take it right before/after a meal, though, so IDK how it is on an empty stomach.

I take Centrum and never had an issue and have a sensitive tummy. But should add I’ve never had it on an empty stomach, always after breakfast which everyone I know who has taken prenatals highly recommends

I take the One-A-Day One pills….  I haven’t had any nausea from them, and I take it at bedtime when I’m usually not full of food anymore..

howtobeawife:  Im using Jameson brand pre-natals….it specifically says gentle on stomach on the front of the bottle. I started taking them 2 months before TTC and never had any issues. I also take them before bed so during the time “they take effect” Im asleep so the effects are more then likely less as well.
