(Closed) Best ratio for 3 stone ring? What do you think about 1ct stones? Post your pics!

I prefer a bigger difference between the center and side stones, so that’s what my husband chose! I can’t remember exact numbers, but I think the center is 0.9 and the sides are 0.15.

Mine is technically a 5 stone but the outside stones are super tiny. I prefer a pretty good difference betweeen center and sides. Probably 4-1-4. I don’t actually know the carats of my stones, but here is my ring:

This is how my ring looked with a 1ct equivalent round and .2ish side stones and mini “shoulders”  

This is how she looks now with a 1.2 heart. Either shape, I like the 4-1-4 ratio as you put it.

That said, I know the total weight of my three stone ring is 1.25, but I’m not sure about the size of the actual stones. I would guess that the side stones wouldn’t be more than half the size of the center stone, but I honestly have no clue.

I think any ring can look lovely, it just depends on personal taste. I don’t really like too big a difference in the stone sizes, so the ring Fiance picked out was perfect for me.

I love the finger coverage. My finger size is 4.75, ring size 5. they actually don’t look too big IRL~

OP, you should just get it resized! It can’t possibly cost too much and then you would be able to wear it again!

I have a 1.04 solitaire, but if I had to choose a 3 stone I would go for a ratio of about .25-.35 side stones flanking a 1ct center. And I am most definitely a dog person.

Mine is closest to the 1-2-1 ratio, which is what I prefer. My centre stone is 7x5mm and sidestones are 6x4mm.

And to me 1 carat is big. The Bee is the only place I’ve ever seen 1 carat considered normal or average sized. My centre stone is equivelant to a .75 carat diamond and I can’t imagine having one much bigger than that.
