I ve been to two Destination Wedding in Jamaica – Half Moon and Sans Souci. Both were high end. Half Moon had villas with several rooms which would be great for family and friends who want to stay together. the villas came with a cook and house keeper and they had their own pool. Not sure Sans Souci had villas, but the rooms were very nice. Both were beach front weddings.

  • Wedding: Secret\'s St. James, Montego Bay, Jamaica

I got married at Secret’s St. James in Montego Bay, Jamaica this past February and it was nothing but amazing! The wedding team was amazing , and always got back to me within a few business days via email leading up to the wedding. They also incorporated my own decorations that I brought into everything free of charge (ie: napkins, centrepieces, candles, etc) and set everything up beautifully. We went with the upgraded package because it came with the wedding video and photography, as well as a better menu for the a la carte dinner served to us on the beach. Plus a 30min couples massage for the day after the wedding in the spa. They do have a basic wedding package that is free with a min 7 night stay at the resort as well, which more than covers most peoples needs for a destination wedding I think. Anyways, Secret’s in Montego Bay is definitely worth looking into if you ask me!

When I was on vacation in Jamaica at the palladium resort I a few weddings going on during my stay and unlike some other Destination Wedding Ive seen, they were very private, lots of areas tucked away for ceremonies and receptions and they seemed very well done, the flowers looked amazing etc. The resort itself is exceptional.

The best resort in Jamaica is a small, boutique hotel called Royal Plantation. We did not have a destination wedding there. However, we honeymooned there and observed a destination wedding during our stay. The restaurants are fabulous. The beach is beautiful. And the accommodations and service are amazing.

I’m getting married at Wild Orchid in Octobe and am also getting the package with the video/pics included.  Do you have any other recommendations.  I also want to take some of my own decor to add.   Please provide details and input?

Appreciated!

soon2bmzbrooks:  oh my,  i never saw your message until just now (2 months later! ). Since you’re wedding isn’t until October i figured I’d still respond.  Feel free to private message me with any specific questions you have.  But i can’t complain about a single thing.  AnnaLisa and Simone were the two ladies we dealt with and they were both great and very accommodating. We met with them the day after check in to confirm all the details, bring down any decorations i had for them to incorporate, and also meet the very nice,  and very comedic minister. One of the bar tenders who we had become especially friendly with before the wedding even dropped into our reception on the beach to say hello!  Hubs and i are going back in Feb for our one year anniversary and can’t wait!

Again… sorry for the super late response!  🙂
