Fiance and I were in a jeweler looking at bands for him and the ladies working there were all gushing over it. It made me feel so special b/c they see so many rings every day!
My favorite line came from a male co-worker – the first time he saw it, “Wow! That bling is like a slap in the face!!” Cracked me up!

I was pretty darn flattered yesterday when another bee chose my ring as one she would like to have if she had to pick another bee’s ering to wear. 🙂

So I came out of a market and there was a dishsheveled lady, obviously down for the count, and obviously had mental health issues ,asking for money.
I am the girl who will always pull something out of my purse for women who need help. Even if they are going to buy liquor at some point in their day, or hopefully a hamburger, I’m the one who will strike up a conversation and tell them to be safe. Any way, I gave this gal a few dollars and as I was handing it to her she said. ” Mam, that ring you have on your finger is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It sparkles like all the stars on a beautiful night”. I was heart struck.
I thanked God right then and there for how blessed I am and how fortunate I am for everything I have in my life today.
I once was that woman. I’m grateful to my God for seeing fit in allowing me to live and not die, to love, and be loved❤

Best one – from my FI’s Italian, Catholic friend, ” the Pope called – he wants his ring back.” Made me laugh and laugh!

One of my favorite compliments came from my mom when she commented on how much the ring was “me” and my Fiance couldn’t have picked better.
The other one happened today! I was at the bank signing some papers and the teller too my hand, while i was mid-signature, and she ooh’d and ahh’d about it. She said it was so gorgeous and asked if it was new, etc. It made me feel really good because she really thought it was pretty.

I am a teacher and my best compliment came from one of my students: “Dang, Ms. Arens…is your hand cold from all that ice on it?” 🙂

@lilsweetie: Yes! 10th grade. Gotta love em. 🙂 I got some other great compliments, but that one was the most original.

I’ve only had mine since Tuesday but my favorite moment so far was when I came into work Wednesday. I was the first one here besides my boss and I showed him. (He’s 73 and it’s seriously like working for your grandpa.) He grabbed my hand and was like “oh.. my.. goodness… that thing is gorgeous… simply gorgeous… your fiance must be one classy man” haha 🙂

A few I can remember are “You can see that thing from outer space!” “Do you need a wheelbarrow to haul your hand around in?” “Does your arm hurt from the weight of your ring, lol”
I’ve gotten the “He did a great job!” and comments about how pretty and sparkly it is as well. Granted it really is not a massive ring (compared to some), it sure is big and beautiful to me! 🙂

When I first showed my mom, I thought she was going to snatch it off my finger! She loved it SO much, and just gushed over it. Then she went and told allllll of her coworkers (who are also my former coworkers) about how beautiful it was! I know she would like whatever I had, but the fact that she went that far makes me smile! 🙂

I was in the elevator at work once with the head of the cardiology department. My ring was so sparkly in the elevator – I wish I could have lights like that all over my house. I was holding my papers and had my arms crossed against my chest and he (the director) looks at me and says “Holy sh*t look at that sparkle! Don’t let my wife see that!” His wife also works at the hospital 😉
I too have had more men comment on my set than women.
