I use Tata Harper clarifying mask and Fresh lotus youth preserve rescue mask and have had great results.

At home masks I’ve tried also with great results: avocado, honey and lemon mask, charcoal, gelatin and almond milk mask, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon and honey mask.  Be careful with this one..especially if you have sensitive skin.  It’s dubbed ‘burning face mask’ for a reason but it works really well!

One of the best things I’ve done for my skin was to nourish it from the inside out.  I take a bunch of supplements including collagen, which benefits your body in other ways as well.

Oh and K-Beauty…it’s a game changer!!!  Try the sheet masks 1-2 times a week and you can totally see a difference!  smile

I swear by Dr. Jart + Sheet masks and the sand and sky pink clay mask as well as the boscia charcoal mask for any blackheads, etc. I also love the glamglow gravitymud firming treatment, but I may just love that because its so pretty once you put it on!

I mix masks. So I put the charcoal on my nose and a spot on my chin that is prone to blackheads, and do the glamglow everywhere else. The Sand and Sky pink clay mask kind of does it all, so once I found that, that is what I use most often.

I also moisturize like crazy. I keep a jar of Estee Lauder Day Wear and Neutrogina anti-wrinkle cream in my desk and any time my face gets dry I put it on. And at night I use Dr. Brandt skincare. I am currently using the DNA (do not age) set, but I also use the 3D filler mask before I go out, I can feel it firming my skin after I put it on!

I also drink collagen in my coffee. I started to do it for my joints, but it has really helped my face as well!

My fiance and I have been doing a “mini-spa day” every Sunday in prep for the wedding! We use the Aveno in shower facial face wash, then put on a charcoal or the pink clay mask to remove blackheads and follow that up with a Dr. Jart+ Sheet mask to put the moisture back in and finish it all off with a bunch of the Dr. Brandt serum and moisturizer! We also light a stress relief candle and do cucumber water! It has been working great and is much cheaper than going and getting a facial every week!

Get a retinoid! Retin-A would be ideal, but you need a prescription for it.

Hyaluronic acid is great for hydration and will help your skin look more “plump,” softening lines and wrinkles. Alpha arbutin is great for brightening skin. And I really like alpha-lipoic acid, it makes me look super glowy.

I’ve been having a lot of luck with Lush Cosmetics products! I particularly love the ultrabland cleanser, and their face masks (especially the fresh ones) are amazing!

I love skincare! It’s something I’ve become kind of obsessed with over the last few years. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so I want to make sure to keep my skin in great shape.

For everyday, I would suggest this rosehip oil. This is one of the best brands out there and it’s about $30 for a small bottle. I’ve tried almost every brand. I would say if it’s cold pressed and organic, it’ll work just as well. Make sure it’s 100% rosehip oil. They sell a ton of different brands of Rosehip oil at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx for like 5 or 7 dollars.

For a face mask, I would recommend this stuff. It lasts FOREVER and you can use it mixed with different liquids. Personally, I love it mixed with apple cider vinegar. It’s super cheap on Amazon.

sarathemermaid :  I forgot to add that the face mask you can do a few times a week.

The rosehip oil is best to put on at night after cleansing. It’s oily at first but soaks into the skin. Some people wear it during the day too 🙂

I’m 27 but also second the recommendation for Retin-A! I got the prescription from my dermatologist and my insurance covers most of the cost, I only pay $10.

In my opinion, i LOVE all Drunk Elephant products. Their Babyfacial mask is my go-to once a week. I use their moisturizer, marula oil, hyaluronic acid serum, and the vitamin C serum. My skin has never been better. Nor have I ever spent this much on skincare but I feel like the amount I’m saving bbn on makeup makes up for the cost of my skincare.

I also use the Indian Healing Clay to remove blackheads. And for any acne spots I get (although rare), I’ll use Avarelle Acne Spot Patches.

I’m 24, but I’m starting to use anti-aging creams because I live in the desert and I want to take care of my face.

For my cleanser, I use Burt’s Bees Chamomile formula.

I use a combination of Tsubaki oil with Cetaphil moisturizer for hydration. During the summer time, I add in Aveeno’s SPF 30 face moisturizer.

At night I use Burt’s Bees Hibiscus night cream. During the day I use the eye cream.

Prevention is key! I also drink tons of water and tea 🙂

Oh and I also use the Indian healing clay mask, it works wonders!

Recently bought this face mask that I am loving:

Andalou Naturals brand-> pumpkin glycolic acid face mask (use it 2-3 times weekly)

I bought it for around $10usd off amazon, and it comes with a good amount of product!

I also love using my Clarisonic MIA face brush to wash my face in the morning , it works great with just about any cleanser. (Clarisonic is a bit pricey I think about $100 usd)

Last thing- I love Noxzema face wash, what I like to do is rub it onto my face, let it sit for a minute or two, and then I take a wash cloth and soak it in super hot water (As much as you can handle, DONT BURN YOUR SKIN !) and let it sit on my face- wiping away some cleanser as I go along. I do that two- three times and then wash my face with COLD water afterwards. Your face will GLOW with this method. Please do be careful with the hot water though esp if you have sensitive skin like me!

(Noxzema is about $4-5 usd at any drugstore for a large tub that will last you forever, you only need about a quarter sized amt for your whole face!)

I mix a little bit of yoghurt and honey into olive oil and then apply it to my face. Some times I add CoQ10 into olive oil and apply it to my face.

Whenever I peel cucmbers, I put the skin of the cumber under my eyes and lay down to prevent getting eye bags.

I also apply sunscreen every day regardless if it is sunny or not.

One of my friends applies coconut oil on her face. She looks very young. I never did it but thought of passing it along to you.

The whole line “the ordinary” is amazing. They use all the best fancy, scientifically tested anti aging ingredients, but charge incredibly reasonable prices – like $5 – $15.

For anti-aging stuff I use their ‘Buffet’ and Vitamin C suspension but they have a huuge line of great ones.  https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/brand/the-ordinary/all?country_switch=ca

I also use these Dr Dennis Gross ‘daily peels’ that show a visible difference after using them for a week or two. Makes your skin look a lot smoother and brighter. They’re expensive, but you can use them every other day. https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/alpha-beta-universal-daily-peel-P377533?icid2=products%20grid:p377533:product
