What I thought was going to be a nice, quiet evening at home was anything but. I’m engaged!
My Fiance (!!) had flowers sent to my office yesterday morning, as he does every year. This year, there were 9 red roses and 3 white, to represent the 3 Valentine’s Days we’ve celebrated together. I came home from work and he came outside to help me bring in the groceries I’d bought on the way home. He was dressed pretty snazzy, which surprised me because he worked from home all day and we weren’t able to get a dinner reservation anywhere so I thought he’d be lounging in comfy clothes. When I got inside, he immediately requested that I put on a blindfold. I had to pee real bad, but I obliged. I could smell that he was definitely cooking and thought, “aww, he made dinner!” He led me to the kitchen and took off my blindfold. The table was set for dinner for two, complete with candles and champagne. He took the roses and placed them in the middle of the table. It was very sweet and I was surprised and touched that he’d taken the time to make dinner and put together such an elegant table setting. Then he told me to put the blindfold back on and my heart started racing lol.
He spun me around like 5 times to try to disorient me and then led me into another room. When he took the blindfold off, we were standing in our front living room, in the middle of a giant heart on the floor outlined with rose petals, candles, and pictures of the two of us. He asked me to be his wife, cue ugly crying and lots of emphatic yeses, and then he put my dream ring on my finger. He’d used two of our tablets along with our security camera to film the entire thing.
He poured us both a glass of champagne and then gave me two wrapped presents. One was a framed collage of pictures of us with a caption that says, “She Said ‘Yes,’ February 14th, 2019,” and the other was a handmade glass votive from one of our favorite companies, Glassybaby, in my favorite color and with a small gold heart engraved on it. We had dinner and drinks and probably got a little too tipsy.
I love him so much and I can’t wait to be his wife.
The ring is the French Cut Basket setting from Adiamor in platinum. 1.5mm wide band with pave diamonds going 3/4 of the way around. Claw prongs. He also had diamonds added to the prongs. Ring size is 7.25.
The diamond is a 1ct modified brilliant cushion, H color, VS 1, “excellent” polish, “very good” symmetry, and no flouresence. It is the ring of my dreams, he did such a good job. My Fiance said that Adiamor’s customer service was superb and he would recommend them to anyone.
