Honestly. I would think about a cathedrail length veil just a bit past your tiny train. I feel like a short veil with all the horizontal lines in your dress would be to matchy matchy and not flow quite right. Or a birdcage veil would be stunning as well. Also have you ever thought about an off white flower tucked behind your ear under your veil? That way you could have a piece to wear after your veil comes off.

Happy planning! Your dress is beautiful by the way

I love the dress and I second the cathedral veil.  With the scalloping, I wouldn’t want to do anything shorter, I think one long veil would look very chic

I have a friend who just got married in this gown, and it looked absolutely incredible with a birdcage veil. I know it’s not what you described, but I agree with the first poster that any veil that hits anywhere between your feet and your head is probably going to clash, silhouette-wise, with the beautiful lines of your gown.

Plus, this gown just screams vintage glamour to me, which I think the birdcage truly embodies!!

Good luck choosing!

My suggestion is just to try on as many as possible, my feeling is that you will know when you find the right one.  In my case, I tried on about 4 and then they put mine on my head.  I knew immediately….so did my mom who was already crying!

When I saw the picture, the first thing I thought was cathedral length, too.

It’s your wedding; wear the veil you like! If a cathedral veil looks good (which I agree it would), then go for it.

for a garden wedding, i would recommend a birdcage veil. but that’s just me. do what makes you feel most beautiful!

i would have said cathedral veil…. but since it’s for a garden wedding maybe a birdcage veil is better.

you know I think the long veil outside would be so dramatic and beautiful! Here is a picture of a girl who wore one on the beach even   !

I don’t want to beat a dead horse at all, but the cathedral veil is typically a little more formal, and it seems like you might be a little apprehensive about having it for a garden wedding. It could also become a little unmanageable if it’s windy (though it would probably provide for great pictures!).

Birdcage veils come in so many different styles that you might find one you like if you try on several. Find a bridal shop in your area that carries more than just one or two birdcage veils, and have fun trying them on!

Or, who says you have to have a veil? If you like your hairpiece for the reception, just wear it for the ceremony too! 🙂

Good luck choosing! I hope you’ll let us know what you pick!
