If you want one to use with Fiance specifically, I would go for a “bullet vibrator.”

For personal use, I’d reccomend a Hitachi Magic Wand.

I’ve inly used cheap ones ($8-$25) but they definitely worked. A friend of mine is a fan of the rabbit, but I’m too cheap to buy one of them.

So from my experience shopping for vibrators at a store, the attendants will take it out and put batteries in it so you can hold it and feel the strength and the speed options; I also think how loud it is important, but that’s me.  I have 1 that was less than $20 and I LOVE It.

The cheap ones do the job, but may be louder. You can test the speed and loudness if you go to a shop.. I’d recommend seeing them in person.

By The Way — I’ve never spent over $30 on one

i voted before i read your post and that you want to use it together. I would go for a vibrating penis ring.  Even the ones sold at Target are fun and aren’t a huge investment.  I think they’re like $8.  We love them 🙂

For soloing, Hitachi Magic Wand (electric motor = powerful…go easy at first!). You can get attachments but they are not required. Bonus…you can massage your neck with it, lol. It is sold as a neck massager after all. Downside…not very quiet or discreet and you need to plug it in!

For mutual fun, travel, or easier to go…the We Vibe is my top choice. Definitely fun for using together and he will definitely feel it too! Not cheap but worth it in my opinion. My husband bought this one for me as a just because gift one day and I love it. G-spot & clitoral reaching, waterproof, soft & flexible, discreet & quiet, rechargeable, and remote controlled. I love it solo too.

Most other’s have fallen flat for me. I used to have the infamous Rabbit but I think its hype was bigger than its hop!

@Meowkers:  Agree with the vibrating penis ring!  DH bought one for our honeymoon and it was AWESOME!  You can move the vibrator to fit the position and you and it also helps the guy last longer.

Target sells a vibrating penis ring? I have been shopping in the wrong section.

I have a Hitachi wand, a Rabbit, and a Lelo Nea.

The Hitachi is the best for solo, imho–very powerful. But because it’s so powerful, I tend to use it in a kind of “get in get out” sort of way. CONS: tends to be on the loud side and you have to plug it in, so you’re sort of “attached” to the wall.

The Rabbit was okay–I probably do not take advantage of all its bells and whistles. CONS: didn’t last that long, battery drain is huge, and well, it looks a bit cheesy.

The Lelo is small and cute but not very powerful. Good to use for a little “extra” when your’e together. It’s also nicely designed and looks sleek. You could bring it on the plane and if it was pulled out at secuity check or something, they might assume it was a computer mouse. CONS: lighter vibration (unless you like that–it’s not quite strong enough for my taste); expensive

to introduce one into the relationship I would for sure go for the bullet. It can be fit into a cock ring like this: http://www.goodforher.com/come_together_set_vibrating_ring so you can use it on its own or for some mutual pleasure. Its not intimidating or expensive so its a good way to start.

Ok, first of all, anything made by California Exotic Novelties is WORTHLESS. I’ve bought several things from this brand and they’ve ALL broken within not very long after I bought them, with the exception of one rabbit style one that lasted for about six months. Their really cheap stuff is probably worth it, because it will stay together long enough to pay for itself, but don’t buy anything over $20 because as worthless as this stuff is, you might as well just roll that money up and use it  instead.

Basically you want to stay away from anything with cords if you can help it. Cords fail a lot. My boyfriend was savvy with gadgetry and could sometimes fix it, or frankenstein me something together with pieces of other broken toys, but it’s better to just buy something good to begin with.

My absolute best purchase was a Doc Johnson brand toy. It was part of the Light Up My Life (I think?) series. It’s been discontinued, but I’d buy from them again. This thing has held on for like three years now, which is unprecedented. It’s fallen off the bed onto hardwood floors, I’ve slept on it, it’s been subjected to temperature extremes, been stepped on, etc. It’s taken a lickin’ and kept right on dickin’.

I bought a replica rabbit like ten years ago at the Everything To Do With Sex Show in Toronto and it was awesome!  Too bad it died after like 3 uses.  🙁  Maybe spending more cash IS important, hahaha, I don’t know.  I never got another one.

I personally love the bullet! They are decently priced and really spices things up!
