Hey bees, my boyfriend is starting the process of getting an e-ring made for me, and I’m so excited!
I need some help because we don’t know my ring size. I see a lot of articles out there saying you can measure with a string, piece of paper, etc. Are these accurate methods? He seems to want to use dental floss, but I worry about it coming loose or being too flexible. What about those plastic ring sizers you can buy?
Let me know your experience, if you’ve tried different methods, and how your ring ended up fitting.

Just go to any jewelry store and they will measure your finger and tell you your size.

Definitely go to a jewellery store and let them size you.
I tried one of those plastic sizers and it was out by a whole size.

Definitely go to a jeweler. They have different width rings on their measuring tool – a wider band will require a slightly larger size.

Ditto to the above answers. I went to a jeweler because when I measured on my own, I was getting a size that I knew was way too big. You don’t even have to spend long there either, I said I was starting to look at rings so I wanted to find out my ring size. He measured me, I tried on a couple of rings for fun, and was in and out in a few minutes.

I went to a mall and went to two different jewelers to get my size. Just wanted to make sure they both gave me the same size!

Go to any jeweller. I tried the string and piece of paper methods and they were way off.
