We used an angle-tip moistener that we got at Office Depot for $0.99!  You fill it with water and the sponge moistens the envelop glue.  You have to be a little careful to not get too much water, but for $1, you can’t beat it!

You can find it here.

I used a damp wash cloth, and ONLY ran it over the envelope glue.

I used the little triangle foam foundation sponges that I use with my make up! We just dabbed in a bowl of water and spread. I got frustrated with the tube with water in it, it kept squirting too much. My FI and I found this so easy and mess free!

I second (third?) glue sticks. I used the ones I bought in a 3 pack from the dollar store around christmas for our STDs and they worked GREAT!

Oooh! Good idea on the triangle makeup sponge! That seems like it would really work.

I also vote for glue sticks…no mess, quick and easy to use.

I’m using wax seals. The wax is our main wedding color and M for our last name

I like those envelope sealers that look like bingo daubers. they’re cheap and work well. or a lightly damp washcloth run over just the edge.
