I’ll be doing my own makeup on the big day and I want to hear some suggestions for foundation! I would like something lightweight and sweat resistant as we’ll be getting married in the heat of the summer. I have normal to oily skin (especially oily in the T-zone). Feel free to reccommend other products as well (concealer, finishing powder, bronzer, blush, etc)! Thanks!

Avoid sunscreen in products. It’ll make you shiny for photos.
We used some Revlon photo ready stuff (Primer/foundation/powder) and it worked out beautifully. If you tend to have oily skin, keep a little stash of blotting papers and powder + brush nearby so you can touch up.

If you want your makeup to last- make sure to use a primer for oily skin. Smashbox photofinish primer works wonders.
Go for a matte finish foundatrion- Makeupforever HD foundation
As for powder, you can use the makeupforever HD powder or Cover FX blotting powder.
I really like bobbi brown concealers and correctors- they work really well.
And to ensure super long lasting effects- Urban decay setting spray- I love that stuff.
As for blush, The Balm, Nars, and Benefit cosmetics make great blushes

ditto on the Smashbox primer! I’ve even used it without foundation in a pinch to keep me from being too shiny. It’s wonderful stuff!

I use the revlon colorstay ever day and love it – my skin is pretty oily and it stays put. I usually apply with a moist sponge – it builds very well. But what really helps me control oil is a cleanser by Kiehls. It comes in a blue tube-thingy and is called ultra facial oil-free cleanser or something along those lines – I cannot recommend this cleanser enough. The first time you use it it feels weird, because it literally strips all surface oil from your skin without drying it out, so when you wash it off your hands almost feel like they stick to your skin. It’s a strange sensation but this really keeps my oil production in control for the day! I also second getting the makeupforever HD powder and the blotting papers! And no SPF! Get a friend to take some pics of you with a real camera, with flash, in bad lighting after doing a trial so you can get an idea of how it will come across!
…. And start with eye makeup and finish it before you go on to foundation! This way your foundation and concealer will not be ruined by eyeshadow that gently falls down on cheekbones etc.

My current favorite is Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h. It does have a little sunscreen, but the spf is low (I think it’s 10), but we’ve photographed it extensively with/without flash in various lighting conditions and never had a problem. Can’t say the same for my silica HD powder though, that shit flashes back like nobody’s business.

+1 for the Makeup forever HD foundationd and Cover FX power
That’s what I use for special events. I’m normal to dry, but have oily friends who use it with no problems.
I’d also recommend Dior Airflash foundation, which is my everyday. It is amazing.

I also use makeup for ever hd — and the powder but I find it flashes white (and i’m pale) … BUT I wanted to share that there’s a urban decay spray setting thing that I was recommended when I went looking for new products to save me in the Louisiana heat! there were three choices in this setting spray — the white bottle with purple writing is what I endehd up with – i think it’s called All nighter. Estée Lauder double wear! It has a matte finish & makes your skin flawless!

OP, avoid SPF. It will make your face appear white in photos if a flash is used!
I’ve heard amazing things about Make Up Forever HD and Kat Von D Lock It
they changed the formula for EL Destination Wedding. It’s not the same anymore 🙁

@MichiganGirl24: Smashbox Longwear 15 hr foundation. I have NOTHING but good things to say about it. I used it when doing my own wedding makeup this August and it was amazing. It was hot, humid, no AC at our venue and I didn’t have to do a touch up all night.
I also BAWLED through the entire ceremony, up the aisle, at the altar, down the aisle, the whole thing…and I was sure that my makeup was destroyed post ceremony. It wasn’t! We did all of our photos after the ceremony and without a single touch up, I still looked amazing.
I also recommend the Smashbox photo ready primer and Urban Decay’s All Nighter setting spray. I swear by these products and will never use anything else.
