I really liked a favor I received from a wedding where the bride was Hawaiian and the groom was Costa Rican….they ended up giving 2 small bags of coffee…..one from Hawaii and one from Costa Rica. They packaged it in a bag that said “Blended with Love”. I thought it was cute and definitely used both bags.

Out of all the favors I’ve received, my favorite at the time was a martini glass filled with M&Ms in the wedding colors. I was a poor student at the time with no martini glasses so I somehow ended up with 3 to take home! 🙂  But now, I’m not sure if I would enjoy a favor like that as much since I’ve acquired so much stuff! Out of the edible favors I’ve received, I must say that I liked candied apples best!

I’m making tile coasters with patterns that match our color scheme but are still kinda neutral.  I’m not monogramming the front but I was going to stamp our names/date onto the cork on the back.  I felt like I would actually appreciate something like this.  Plus it’s only going to cost me 50 cents per person!

We’re southern hence, love anything that has to do with food :o)

My favorite by far were these awesome jars with homemade apple butter made by the bride’s grandma. It was ridiculously good.

Now I’m hungry.

I am not a big fan of wedding favors in general. especially if I have to drag them around all night after a wedding. My favorite is when the bride and groom make a donation to a cause that is important to them. If they really want to give something, I think it should be edible and local or homemade-something like Godiva chocolate that one can get in any mall in the country is not one I would probably take.

@cakegal:Wow, you would leave behind Godiva chocolate? That’s impressive, lol. I think I would hang around and grab a few extras at the end of the wedding :).

I do agree, though, that favors are best when they’re both edible and personal. I’ve written a ton about it, so forgive the repitition, but Fiance and I are bottling taco sauce from his favorite local restaurant, and we’re putting cute tags on it. I’m sure the bottles will get tossed once people use the sauce, but we’re hoping they give it a try. Honestly, even if they don’t, it makes Fiance so happy to have Roscoe’s at the wedding that it’s worth it anyway.

The best favor I ever got was actually from the bridal shower. Her favors were silverplated serving pieces. I still have it and use it quite often. (mine was a spaghetti server and there were ladles, cake servers and salad tongs). It was a great idea!
