What do you think is the best professional printing company for your wedding photo book?
My photographer works with one company that does not have what I’m looking for. I would like to suggest another company that has what I would like. My wedding photos are done and I really want a professional album!
I am not interested in a make your own wedding book site. Just professional printing websites only. I’m looking for the best.
What I’m looking for…
- the front to be silver leather or silver silk
- embossed text in silver with our names and wedding date on front
- the front have a picture of us
- the spine to have our names and wedding date embossed text silver
- flush mount with professional archival photo paper-very thick pages
- something that will last a lifetime
- An album box to store it in that can be customized
- 90-120 pages

Forbeyon, the company we use has all those things except I’m not sure you can get 90-120 that’s a LOT. We typically order 30 pages. They might though. You will have to have your photographer sign up and order from them: forbeyon.com

blurb.com was recomended by a photographer in my valley.

90-120 pages is alot. The most our photographers’ choosen company could do was 70 pages, otherwise the book would be too bulky.

Check out http://kissweddingbooks.com/. I have heard good things about them!

Most only offer 70 pages max.

Queensberry does AMAZING work!! But they only authorize a handful of photographers to use them.
Kiss Books has been pretty good, Forbeyon,
and Leather Craftsmen all come to mind.
At 90-120 pages you might split it into two volumes.

Check out http://www.couturebook.com/ Their pages are thin like a coffee table book but you can have up to 200 pages. I LOVE them and even ordered my own wedding album through them. All great suggestions above as well. Most of the flush mounts with the thick pages you are not going to get more than 70 pages. I once did an 11×14 with 65 pages and it was around 6in thick and weighed about 25lbs. The thing was a beast and I felt it was kind of awkward to look through. You are better off with the thinner pages. A lot of those companies offer a thin flexible page option as well.

Can anyone provide approximate prices of using these different companies. I know they will vary based on options and number of pages, but just wanted to find out general guidelines. Most of them you have to log in to get any info and I don’t want to create an account with all of them. Thanks!

A minimum of about $250 just for pages. Thats usually only for 20 pages(10 spreads) at an 8×8 size. Cover options and such will be extra. You usually need a minimum of 30-40 pages to build a nice non cluttered album.
You wont be able to get an account unless you are a professional photographer with most of the companies listed, you have to prove you are. Forbeyond, Craftsman, Kiss, Bayphoto, Fineao, Graphistudio, HH Color Lab are for pros.
Personally your photographer should find what you are looking for not you.. I also dont know of one photographer that uses Only 1 company..
