$600 for a photographer is a ridiculously good deal!

I got good deals on some of my BM’s items.  I bought their shoes from Payless during their buy 1, get 1 50% off sale.  4 pairs of flats plus shipping came out to about $55.  I also bought their jewelry during a Blue Nile sale.  They were running an extra 20% off their sale items, and all of the necklaces I wanted were on sale for 50% off already.

My invitations and dinner menus! I, by chance, happened to be looking at online invitation websites before Christmas time because my mom needed my help in finding my bridal shower invites. I happened upon Zazzle.com where they were having a ridiCulous sale on invites, 75% off!

I ordered my wedding invitations along with matching rsvp cards (100 count, both with envelopes, of course), and 180 menu cards for a total of $250 dollars. Amazing quality on all three. They would’ve cost me slightly over a $1,000 without the deal I found.

@LDay1983:  My deals so far for my DIY wedding:

I have fall themed wedding and got all silk flowers for my entire wedding (2 bouts, 3 bouquets, 16 centerpieces, some for arch as well) for around $200. (60% off and more end of last fall season)

I got other decorations for arch, a large 2 teir card box, invitations, stds for $50 (reg $150)

I got multiple types of favors (coaster sets/wooden spoon sets/small picture frames) enough for 130 people for $50-$60 Mostly through dollar store finds and Christmas tree shops!!

My videographer will be $350/including tip (unedited raw footage of wedding and reception)

Hall rental will be $400 including bartender/tables/chairs/tablecloths/outdoor space for ceremony/use of kitchen/6hr rental time/can use my own caterer, which was very important to me.

Catering for up to 120 people buffet style, no chinaware, including tip and tax for $1700 (old friend for many years and professional caterer) 2 types of chicken/ Sliced Roast beef au jus/ veggie/ roasted potatoes/rolls/ butter/salad/coffee/tea station/ linen napkins in color. *This is based on his regular pricing before any deal he may give.

DJ $650 6hr/including tip (owner of company is waiving his portion of usual fee as a wedding gift, he is longtime friend of FI)

Saving a couple hundred by doing small cake for cutting then 100 cupcakes. 5 different flavors approx $400. with delivery. Same amount just as cake would have been $700-800 plus fee for cutting/plating/delivery etc.

*new savings is wedding dress…was $549, almost bought it on sale for $499. Just saw it go up for sample sale item for….$249 including tax and shipping woohoo.

We are on a very tight budget of $5000. We have spent $4139.

Left to get are $150-200 worth of alterations (just the strap)shoes (flip flops ivory blingy), veil (custom length etsy), bridal sash and jewelry.

Tux $200

Photographer (friend of a friend trying to build her portfolio so she says CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP) hoping for around $350-400. That would bring us just under at $4939.

Ohhh I love love love deals! Here are mine (so far ;)):

Engagement ring – $1900. It was on clearance, so regular price was over $2000 plus tax, but we got it for $1900 taxes in!

Venue – $350! Regular price was only $500, but the venue is affiliated with FI’s work so we get 30% off of everything! (Not too sure what the exact cost of linens and food are going to be, which are provided by our venue and are dependant on the number of people, but we will get 30% off that as well!)

Table Decor – $35. I got: 28 tall vases, 31 glass bowls, crinoline for under a dress, and 28 candles for this price off of a used website we have in our city! I was so stoked – I am selling what I don’t want and then after the wedding I will sell the rest, so any glassware I use in my wedding will have cost me $0!

Arch – $25. Again, off of the used site I got an arch complete with lights and storage tub for $25! I found it in the store for over $60 :D. It is brand new!

Angela Nuran Shoes – $40! I wanted a pair of Angelas sooo badly but they are $300 regularly. I found a pair on Tradesy that are discontinued and were being sold by a wholesaler (which means they are brand new and never worn!) for this price, including shipping :D.
