I think one of my best friend’s weddings last summer. We ate, we drank, we danced our asses off.

I went to a wedding last year that started at 6 in the evening.  It was so nice to have the majority of the day to myself before having to get ready and leave for the event.  On the way to that wedding was when Fiance and I decided to push our ceremony time later.

The party was also pretty awesome.  They had a live band and really kept the party going until we were kicked out at midnight.  Then there was an afterparty.  It was the most fun I’ve had in an evening in a long time.

Mine, definitely.  I sincerely hope that doesn’t come off as being selfish but my wedding was wonderful.  Nothing went wrong, guests had a blast, and you could feel the love all evening and into the night.  Just perfect!

Besides my own? Our friends got married in Colombia and it was a 5 day trip. On the 4th day of the trip was their wedding. Their wedding was seriously like Carnivale it was awesome. The food wasnt great, there werent any favors but the party was amazinggg. They had a live Colombian band there playing all night long. The party went til 3AM and then we were all so hot that we jumped in the pool with our clothes on along with the bride and groom! They had people on stilts that were blowing fire, they rode in on a horse and carriage, they had performers dressed as elephants and a dance troupe that had little kids dressed up who got the whole crowd dancing. Then they passed out masks and we wore masks all night long and it was just awesome!

Hm, I probably have two. They were both my cousins’ weddings. I loved the weddings because they had a meal and I was actually full for the rest of the night 🙂 Can you tell I LOVE food?

I also love weddings with dancing… but the food really makes it or breaks it for me.

@Mrs. Meowerson: It really was. Yes, the bride was from Colombia and her husband is Cuban. The days leading up to the wedding we went to a Colombian Amusement Park all about coffee, we went horseback riding in the mountains, we went to town and explored and talked with the locals, and we hung out by the pool and drank nonstop. Their rehearsal dinner had a mariachi band, dancing, karaoke – it was basically like a wedding. Then their reception was just ridiculous – it was awesome. At that point I remember thinking “there is no way our wedding wil be as much fun as this” but of course it was because it was our own but seriously I dont think any wedding will top that! Granted, it cost us $3000 for the whole trip! But it was well worth it

My Fiance and I traveled to NJ for an amazing wedding. A friend of mine from college has a wealthy family and the wedding was beyond amazing. The reception was at “The Venetian” which was highlighted on “Platinum Weddings”. We had a great time, they had a live band (which did amazing covers to Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas, among others). It is still like a “WOW” when we think about attending that.

This one. The location was so beautiful. Their DJ was fantastic…he really had the party going all night. And they had lots of wonderful little touches. Giant photo cutouts of themselves that we took pics of ourselves with for the guest book, the bride is from Scotland so the pre-ceremony champagne gathering ended with a bagpiper and drummer leading everyone to the ceremony location, they had wonderful little fish & chip appetizers in little newspaper cones…it was just a really fun day/night.

And they used our wedding photographers!
