flusteredcb:  Do you have a Trader Joe’s near you? I don’t know how they do it, but they get crazy good deals on wine. They sell the Indaba Sauvignon Blanc, which I really like – I LOVE really dry white wines, and this one does NOT taste sweet at all (which I find is unusual for a Sauvignon Blanc). It’s only like $6.99 at TJ’s, but I’ve seen it elsewhere for $14-15+.

For red Red Diamond is good and under $10, for white Rex Golith is a popular go to

Yellowtail and barefoot tend to have pretty solid wines. Barefoot Sauvignon blanc could be a crowd pleaser (Chardonnay is dry but kind of polarizing in my experience and usually not done well at lower price points). Apothic red winemakers blend is a delicious red, but it might be just over $10.

Saint Croix Syrah-Merlot blend is quite smooth and flavorful red. Really easy to drink. It’s $4.99 a bottle at Trader Joe’s and tastes like a $20 bottle of wine. And Contadino pinot grigio is crisp and DELICIOUS. Also only $4.99 a bottle.

The Naked Grape Pinot Grigio is my favorite wine, but idk if it’s dry. It’s a little sweet. But SO GOOD.

Malbecs are the only red I like. I’ve had the Cupcake one, but I think that’s a little over $10.

For the ones a little over $10, a lot of grocery stores will do bulk discounts if you buy more than 4 or 6 bottles.

flusteredcb:  Definitely don’t go with the “Three Buck Chuck” Charles Shaw stuff they sell. It’s crap (and gives me flashbacks to my college drinking days). Otherwise, most of their wines are usual brands you see elsewhere – just significantly cheaper for some reason!

flusteredcb:  we served 14 Hands wine, which people seemed to like.  it’s $10.99 a bottle, but maybe you can get a bulk discount.

Trader joes has some great deals.  South American and Spanish wines can also be a lot of bang for your buck.

My go to cheap wine is Red Guitar Red Sangria.  It’s like $8.00 and very yummy.

flusteredcb:  My favorite red wine is Menage a Trois (unfortunate name, but delicious lol). It’s a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. I think it’s just over $10 a bottle at least here, but they are bigger bottles so it might even out. It’s not too dry, but not sweet like a Moscato, which is my favorite white. 🙂
