I had this best friend for years and now we are split up. she got so bad over the years with her drug problem and lies i cant be her friend anymore i really liked her as a friend to talk to but i had to let her go now. i am kinda sad cause i just started to be her friend again but noticed that she hasnt changed and is still into her addictions. i think it was the best for me no more negitivity

Good for you – you can only help someone so far. After that, they have to be able to choose for themselves the path they take.

@suez: There’s a point where you have to think about yourself, if this friend’s njot going to change there’s nothing you can do and it’ll only be detrimental to you.

You did the right thing separating yourself from her. It will be hard, but in the end you will be better for it and safer.

It hurts, but you did the right thing. There’s only so much you can do to help someone, but unless that person truly wants to change, they won’t be able to.
