One of the best board posts I’ve read in a long time. You guys are going to do just fine.

Ok, I didn’t cry until I read MollyB’s response.  And I was already crying all they way to work thinking about my ceremony!  When is your wedding date Molly?  Mine is May 24th – 30 more days!!!

Candi – We’re May 24th too! How are you doing? Feeling overwhelmed or that you’re in a good place prep wise?

Well, a little of both.  One day I feel like I’m really getting caught up. And the next day I write a list of about 50 things I want to do!  Sometimes I rethink things too much and just have to let it go!

The big things left are talking to the DJ, Buying clothes for the honeymoon, programs (hoping my Maid/Matron of Honor will do that for me!), and of course the seating chart.  Other than that I just want to get on with the show!!!

My RSVP date is May 1st, and I just sent out a couple of invitations this morning!!! It seems that my fiance likes to invite everyone he runs into. I had to put a stop to that.

When is your RSVP date?  And do you think that you are almost ready prep wise?  Are you doing a lot of DIY?

MollyB, it took all of my energy to keep from tearing up at the office after reading your response.  You are both so lucky….best wishes!!

Thank you for reminding us that this is what it’s supposed to all be about!  All the stress and obsession over the details often overshadows the fact that a wedding means that you’re marrying your partner…and it’s supposed to be someone you really do like and aren’t angry at because they’re not doing enough!

Everyone, repeat with me…I not only love my fiance, I actually really LIKE him, too!  It’s OK, we’re allowed to say it.

So I usually sneak a peak at the boards at work, and never get caught, until i read this post it totally made me cry! Now i look like a crazy person crying at the computer. Thanks for reminding us why we are putting ourselves through all this madness! Congrats!

Candi – I’m doing a fair amount of DIY, that stuff feels relatively under control (I have tons of help from family, thankfully) – it’s more just making sure all the travel issues are under control (we live in NYC and we’re getting married in Savannah, and having 150 people travel down for the wedding, so issues about say which hotels people are staying at, when they are arriving, etc) It’s such an incredible feeling to be getting closer and knowing just how REAL this is! 🙂
