My fiance and I have decided instead of having a “honeymoon fund” jar, we are going to put out to toating flutes with each of our names on them. The flutes will have a sign that explains whoever’s cup has the most money, will have the cake smashed in their face after cutting. The problem is…I don’t know what to write on the sign! Please help 🙂

That sounds very entertaining 🙂 . Is this something that people in your area do a lot, I think a lot of bees might be opposed. I saw another thread where someone gave each guest a marble or something to “vote” with in a game like this, so that’s a possibility too.

We did the voting with beads…the guests loved it — it helped make the cake cutting more interactive. With our crowd we didn’t dare do the money version — 1.) like us, most of our friends are plastic only and don’t carry cash, and 2.) I don’t like people having to pull money out during a wedding whether it’s the for the bar, to dance, etc….but that’s just my take and to each their own!
Our sign said the following — you can adjust it for money:
Who Wears the Cake!
Who would you like to see with cake on their face?
Carefully distribute your ten beads into the vases labeled bride or groom.
Whoever’s vase has the most beads when it’s time to cut the cake will get a sugary, sweet surprise!

Thanks for your advice ladies. I know it is not the ordinary traditonal thing to do but nothing about our wedding is. We are having a cash bar because it is good to have the option even though we do not drink too much ourselves. It is not a mandated thing, so they do have the option of wether or not to participate. I think I might have the sign say:
Who should wear their cake and eat it too?
Place your bet for the bride or groom!
