@vorpalette: i know, im quite baffled about the insulting comments hahaha. people always say that marmite is disgusting and like crap on a spoon and i dont get offended. bizarre. a light hearted thread about a personal dislike turned into some bizarre politically correct thing
and everything in moderation is fine. i highly doubt the OP’s kid is going to drink one kool aid and terrible things will happen. jeez/

I tried that Vita water once and it was freaking disgusting (sorry if that OFFENDS anyone)! AND it was expensive so I was doubly ticked off after trying it!

@AlwaysSunny: Yep! It’s been promoted as a natural health drink though. And since natural is healthier than something mixed up by humans *eyeroll* it has to have like miraculous properties or something.

Fresh from the coconut = awesome.
This canned/boxed crap I bought = blech.
But this happened to me when I first tried greek yogurt: the first brand I bought was so so so disgusting, I didn’t touch it again for a year….then I tried a different brand and it was like night and day. I love it now!

@stardustintheeyes: Just ignore her. Some people take a light hearted thread and make it all about how it’s insulting them and their culture and is oh so un-politically correct. Kinda ruins the fun threads.

@Omgbunnies: I hate coconut water, too. I was not impressed. And like you, love the taste of coconuts.
And I shamefully love the Kool-Aid bursts. Yum.

Love coconuts, love coconut cream, hate coconut water. I have no idea why, I guess I just don’t like sweet drinks very much.
And whoever said they don’t like vegemite is clearly racist against Australians :/

I don’t care for coconut water, either (out of the can/box). I’ve never tried it fresh, but I would probably be willing to. That being said, I have actually been using coconut water in my morning shakes (My fav: 1.5 cups coconut water, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries & 1/2 cup frozen dark cherries) and I can’t really complain. The shake itself is pretty delicious, and if I’m getting my electrolytes and other healthy stuff, I can’t complain!

I love coconut water! It’s literally the best hangover cure i’ve ever discovered!!

@MrsHoneyC: Ok but HOW DO YOU NOT LIKE POUTINE? Every bowl of poutine is lovingly crafted by angels and delivered to earth via rainbow.

I have never tried coconut water, the fresh kind or the bottled kind. Now I want to go find some so I can try it. I usually only drink water, though.

Seriously? Now I’m getting picked on for letting my kid have KOOL-AID? KOOL-AID?!
You know what? I’m bypassing the recycling bin for that kool aid bottle… and throwing it DIRECTLY. in the TRASH.
Oooh, yeah. I went there. NOW WHAT. I got plenty of other bottles and recyclable materials I can throw directly in the garbage to go sit in a landfill. Keep the insults coming. I love having my parenting judged. IN A THREAD ABOUT DISLIKING COCONUT WATER.

@Omgbunnies: yeah coconut water is deceiving. It is NOT a refreshing beverage. I don’t know how some people chug it as though it is.

@Jellybones: RIGHT?! Dislike for poutine was, to me, the most shocking part of this thread. 😉
I used to hate coconut water. Then I tried this brand at Whole Foods, Amy & Brian’s (it’s other places too), and it was like sipping on a cotton candy dream, even though it was unsweetened. It’s like I’m getting my soda fix while doing something healthy, and it’s amazing for a hangover and the night before you know you’re going to get one. Best tasting coconut water, hands down, IMO. The flavored ones from Vita are okay but I feel like you can tell they’re masking something.
I’ve tried fresh young coconut water twice. The first time it was here in the States, and it was amazing. I think they even make a tool now for puncturing and sipping in one fell swoop due to the popularity of coconut water. The second time I was in Rio and it made me nauseous for some weird reason *shrug*.
