Ay ya ya!  I am in a similar position – wanting to warn others about this woman.

Though I wish my problem was just that the fabric was flawed.  I agree that is not the dress you ordered, but that it fits at all surprises me!

She sent me a completely unwearable product that is nowhere near the measurements I sent and then responded with an “I don’t guarantee that the dresses I make fit.”  While of course she cannot guarantee it to be perfect – it should not be over 5 inches shorter than the measurements I sent her or have a bodice that is so malformed that there is no way it can be turned into a useable product.

As someone now counting down the days to my wedding and out hundreds of dollars with no wearable dress at all – I just want to warn other people not to use this seller!

If you want additional stories or photos, I would be happy to share mine. It sounds like quite a few woman had horrible experiences with her – all around the same time.  It’s just sad. 

I was sent a dress quite different from the sketch agreed upon, not even remotely close to the measurements I sent, and so poorly constructed I wonder if someone made it for a high school home economics class. 

 

Whatever can be done to discourage people from spending time and money and building up hopes around this woman/ this shop – needs to happen.

My experience with Angela has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a small business owner. While extremely polite and communicative in the design process, she was short and rude in other emails, that is, when she bothered to email me back at all. I followed all of her policies (which she can change whenever she wants and you must be ok with it), did everything on my end (booking and paying her very early on), and received a gown that was completely wrong. Her lack of attention to major details shows that she has no regard for her customers, or at the very least, this customer. I am appalled that she sent a dress out with such a major design error, which to her one and only credit, she at least admitted to. Most small business owners would jump through hoops to make customers happy, to go that extra mile for good press, but the impression I get is that this is not of importance to her. This has been a phenomenally disappointing experience that I hope no other bride has to go through. While I realize some people have had good experiences with her, everything I have found online recently regarding her and her work has been resoundingly negative. Needless to say, this is my biggest and ONLY regret in my wedding. For someone who ends every email (when she is getting along with you that is) as “Be Blessed”…she lacks any and all morals with regards to her business. I have never felt strongly enough about an experience with a business to go as far as to create a profile on a website in order to warn others, so hopefully that puts things into perspective for prospective clients of hers. I would never recommend her, or use her again. I am hoping to find some recourse in all this, but that is doubtful. To any future clients, beware, read her contract and realize that if you are not satisfied, little or nothing can be done on your end, and from my experience, I woulldn’t expect much to be done on the sellers end.

I have had ongoing issues with Angela over the last few months culminating in her finally sending me my “reworked” dress shoved in a medium sized priority box (just how all brides would like to receive the gown for the biggest day of their life). Incidentally my fiance and I took a picture of this to document her “customer service.” This has been the worst business experience I have ever had as a customer. I was told she would rework my dress, since she made a major error the first time, using the wrong material for the bottom of the dress. I was told via email she had already removed applique to be placed on the tulle (the fabric the skirt was originally to be made of). The “reworked” dress I received had a layer of tulle put on top (poorly I might add), the applique was right where it was before, so she lied in her email to me. So the work she claimed to have done in her email was never done.This “work” has been going on for over a month as I have waited and it is now 2 weeks before my wedding. I will never do business with her again and am considering seeking legal action. I hope other brides find this and make the choice not to work with her.

I too had a horrible experience with this vendor. She had a shop on Artfire called Wonderland Weddings that seems to have been taken down in the past day but I wanted to add it to this posting in case that the business name gets used again by her, a bride may find this posting.

wow, I am so sorry you girls have had such a bad experience.  I just wanted to post that I recently received an order from Angela and could not be happier with my dress!  I’m not sure if she was going through a rough patch or took on too many orders at that time becaues it seems like everyone with bad results came within a certain time period?  My dress is exactly what I ordered, fits like a dream, and looks wonderful, everyone that has seen it (friends and family) can’t stop talking about how beautiful it is.  My only advice to anyone having a dress made by ANYONE is to order with PLENTY of time.  I ordered my dress in September, 11 months before the wedding leaving me a lot of cushion time should any problems arise.  I also made sure the sketch of my dress was perfect (went through about 4 or 5 edits) and also had my mother contact her so she knew we were serious about the dress and having it made exactly how we wanted.  Communication is key it seems like some (not all) people with complaints left a lot of their requests up to interpreation which will only lead to a bad ending.  Hope this helps!
