Whoa… I don’t think anyone was being mean to you at all.  I don’t see anyone “reprimanding” you.  I think you’re being incredibly over sensitive.  People are just sharing thier honest opinion, and they’re doing so in a respectful way.  No need to jump down people’s throats when they disagree with you in a nice way.  If you want people to just tell you what you want to hear and not what they really think, call your girlfriends rather than posting here.

Plus, I think that’s just the risk you take ordering anything online.  I can’t count the number of times I ordered something online and was surprised by the way it looked when I received the package in the mail.  Photos aren’t always a great indicator of what something looks like in reality.

I could only see it when I zoomed in. I probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I had not zoomed in. I’m glad you were able to get your money back and that you found another dress.

I went to look at the website. I don’t see the brown/yellow in the picture even after zooming in. Burnout just refers to the fabric not to the color. I have a burnout shirt and there is no big difference in color. It is pink and the burnout is lighter pink. Her dress is ivory and the burnout is ivory but there appears to be extra flower coloring on hers. I don’t see that in the picture at all.  I do see a small blotch of darker material on the chest…but it is near the arm pit area and looks more like a shadow.

@edisonsgirl: maybe people’s monitors are different..but it’s def. there and in more than one place. As for telling her not to vent…we didn’t. We just nonchalantly said that we can see it. lord.

@greenek2: I was just saying I didn’t see it either. I think everyone monitors pick up colors differently. This is why it is hard to order clothes online. This is also why most website put a disclaimer that states the color of the material may appear different after order due to screen differences. No need to get all upset.

Quickiebride , I suggest you look at the wedding dresses on  JCrew http://www.jcrew.com . They have some beauties, can deliver quickly, returns are easy, etc. Good luck!

Nordstrom is always a good bet. They have amazing customer service. I mean… absolutely amazing. It’s the reason I shop there so much. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the experience with them even if you don’t like the dress you ordered.

I’ll say upfront that I am not a fan of DB. I actually attribute this to being ruined by Nordstrom’s service, for what it’s worth. 😉 However, even having said that… if you return something to a company, it’s completely normal to have to pay return shipping. If you ever order from Old Navy’s plus sized shop for instance, that’s the same thing. And literally any catalog without brick and mortar stores is the same experience. Usually the only way to get out of paying return shipping is if the item is defective.

And I’m not saying that to be a “zilla”… it’s more because there seemed to be a lot of shock in this thread over the return shipping. Was just trying to help.
