Two things–

If you paid through Paypal which you seem to have, then file a claim immediately. They will investigate and may be able to help you recoup your money.

Second thing– The Bee has very strict criteria for deleting information and it is difficult to have something removed. You only have 60 minutes to remove or edit your posts and then they are saved for posterity and all of Google to see.

How is it that this person sold you the feathers for $1 but you ended up paying $418?

it is just sad that there are people out there that prey on brides.  i hope it all works out. if i didn’t already sell my feathers, i would have sold them to you for less than that.  i decided that instead of driving them out and figuring out who will arrange them, that i would just have my florist handle all my feather centerpieces.

I need to make a comment and NO I have absolutely NO affiliation with these two.  I myself have gone through something similar but on ebay.  I was the seller.  In December, I shipped a packaged via Parcel Post to one of my auction winners.  Even with delivery confirmation, unless you request insurance if the package becomes lost there is nothing you can do about it with the exception of filing a claim with either ebay or paypal.

Don’t assume that just because you didn’t receive your package that they didn’t ship.  Case in point, I shipped my package.  Yet, if you go online to check the delivery confirmation even though I went to the post office and dropped the package off myself with a witness, it was never scanned into their system.  Hence there is no information in the system about it and it never made it to the person I was shipping to.  Aggrivating because I the seller ended up being out the money because ebay awarded them their money back plus the item I had sold.

File a claim with Paypal – you will get all of your money back.

When you purchase something from someone online whether it be ebay or one of the wedding boards – ALWAYS request delivery confirmation as well as insurance.  These are well worth the tiny bit of extra money you will spend.
